What we collect on wearebeacon.co, why we collect it, and how to get rid of it. It's short on purpose.
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This site is run by Beacon Internet Solutions Limited, a company registered in Northern Ireland, number NI729273, at 2 Garland Court, Lurgan, Craigavon, BT66 6ES. We're the data controller for anything you send us here.
What we collect
When you fill in the contact form
What you type: your name and email address, plus your phone number and message if you give them.
What your browser sends with it: your IP address, your browser and device string, and which page you were on when you filled the form in. If you arrived by clicking one of our Google ads, the click's ID comes too, so we can tell which ad led to an enquiry.
We use the first part to reply to you, and the second part to keep the form usable and to know which of our ads are worth paying for. It goes two places: to us by email through Resend, and into a private Google Sheet so an enquiry can't get lost in an inbox.
We do not put you on a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone.
Lawful basis: legitimate interest — you contacted us and expect a reply, and we have a plain business need to keep the form working and to measure our own advertising. Nothing here is a decision made about you by a machine.
Spam protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots off the form. It collects limited technical information, like browser type, to work out that you're a person. It doesn't set a cookie on this site. Cloudflare processes that under their privacy policy. Lawful basis: legitimate interest — without it the form fills up with junk and real enquiries get lost.
Analytics and advertising
Only if you say yes. Nothing below runs until you accept it, and you can change your mind at any time — see Cookies.
- Google Analytics 4, through Google Tag Manager: pages visited, time on the site, rough location at country or region level, device and browser, and how you found us.
- Google Ads: whether an ad of ours led to an enquiry.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag: the same question, for ads on those platforms.
Lawful basis: consent. Until you give it, these are held back and no cookie is set — not "set but ignored", genuinely not loaded. Google's tags still receive a signal that you have not consented, which is how they know to run without storing anything.

This list is generated from a real run across every page on the site, not written from memory. Nothing here is set unless you choose it.

Changing your mind
That button is in the footer of every page too. Withdrawing is one click, the same as accepting was. When you turn a category off we delete the cookies we set on this site straight away.
The four on doubleclick.net and linkedin.com belong to those
companies, not to us, so we can't reach them from here — we stop sending anything
further, and you can clear them in your browser's own cookie settings. You can also opt out
of Google Analytics everywhere with a
browser extension.
Where your data goes
We use these companies to run the site. They're all based in the United States, so your data goes there. Those transfers are covered by the UK's approved safeguards for sending personal data abroad — the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum otherwise.
| Who | What they handle | When |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the site; sees your IP in its server logs | Always |
| Cloudflare | The spam check on the form | When you use the form |
| Resend | Delivers the enquiry to us and the confirmation to you | When you use the form |
| The private Sheet your enquiry is stored in | When you use the form | |

| Meta | Ads measurement | Only if you accept |

How long we keep it
An enquiry: no more than 12 months. After that it's deleted from the enquiry sheet and from our email. We check for it weekly, so nothing sits there quietly past its date.
Unless you become a client. Then it stops being an enquiry and becomes part of our business records, which we have to keep for six years after the end of the financial year our work together ends. That's company law, not a choice — Companies Act 2006 s.388 and HMRC's record-keeping rules. Lawful basis for that part: legal obligation.
Analytics data is kept by Google under our account's retention setting, separately from anything above.
If you'd rather we got rid of yours sooner, ask and we will. Email hello@wearebeacon.co.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Show you a copy of anything we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete it
- Pause what we're doing with it while something's in dispute
- Stop processing you object to, where we're relying on legitimate interest
- Hand it over in a portable format, to you or to someone else
And where we're relying on your consent — analytics and advertising — you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it, from Cookies above or the footer of any page. Withdrawing doesn't undo what happened before you withdrew, but it stops everything after.
Email hello@wearebeacon.co and we'll sort it. We have a month to answer, and we won't take it.
If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
